Welcome to Heanor Gate Science College
Heanor Gate Science College is a secondary school and sixth form in Heanor, Derbyshire.
As part of the Spencer Academies Trust we work alongside other schools in ensuring we deliver the very best education possible. Our students will achieve the very best of which they are capable provided by our aspirational curriculum and highly committed staff who ensure that the quality of learning remains exceptionally high.
We expect our students to draw on an extensive and varied range of experiences and ways of learning, including quarterly ‘immersion days’ and our impressive catalogue of residentials on offer, in order to maximise their progress, allowing every learner to flourish and unleash their potential.
Over recent years we have made substantial investments in ICT. More recently we have been proudly awarded a ‘good’ rating by Ofsted, and in 2018 our students produced the best results the school has ever seen in both GCSEs and A-Levels.
Heanor Gate Science College is the academy in which your child will succeed in being the best they can be. #TeamHeanor
